Gold, Michael
(1893-1967)
   American communist author and journalist. He worked as a copy-editor on the socialist Call and contributed articles and poetry to Masses. Later he was editor of the communist Liberator and of the New Masses. He also worked with the left-wing New Playwrights' Theatre. His novel Jews Without Money is an account of Jewish immigrant life in New York.
